Little Blue Girl is a children’s book that talks about the issue of colorism. It starts off with a little girl named Naomi who loved her life and her friends, but suddenly she had to move to a small town where there was barely anyone who looked like her. On her first day of school, two mean girls started to bully her because she looked “different”. But when she ran back home crying she then decided to change how she looked. When her mom saw her crying, she comforted her with her warmth, love and inspirational advice that taught Naomi to take pride in her beautiful skin and to love herself.
